Facebook is becoming a huge part of the workforce in today's business world. Businesses are now using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and even Snapchat to promote, advertise and get sponsorships. In 2017 the Content Strategist explained that Facebook has increased its user amount and added over a hundred million users within one quarter. Facebook is now social networking number one (shown in Figure 1) for Ad revenue during 2016 worldwide of 67.9%, this compared to Twitter with 7.9% and other (e.g. other social networks, network gaming and social network apps). IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL MEDIA WITH RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION

Recently I was talking to a friend who had been desperately applying for multiple jobs. While having this conversation we were talking about the fact that within one of her interviews the employer asked if its okay to look her up on her social media platforms. Of course, she said yes as she is desperately looking for a job but I found it interesting that the employer asked. In one of my topics I'm studying (Human Resource Planning, Recruitment and Selection) I recently wrote a piece about the legal obligations of using social media through both recruitment and selection processes and found that there are many legal obligations if the company had not warned the potential employee.
